Letters to our Sons | September 2013

Dear Liam,

Baby boy, I can’t believe how fast you are growing – and I can’t believe you are ten months old! Where has the time gone?! I know I say it again and again, but you are such a joy. You are such a happy baby and your smile lights up the room. At ten months old you have definitely found your sassy side. Some days you have a downright attitude. You get very mad when mommy won’t let you hold the bowl of food or the spoon. You really want to feed yourself these days. You know what you want and are starting to throw little tantrums when you don’t get it. You especially love mommy’s phone and the iPad, and you have a full on hissy fit when you don’t get them! You love sitting on the floor playing with your toys. You like to pull all of them out of the bin and lay them all around you. You’re still not crawling but you seem to be getting by. You spin, wiggle, and roll anywhere you want to go. Who needs crawling when you can do that? You are your brother’s biggest fan. You think he is the bees knees, and you laugh and get excited whenever you see him. When you get excited you kick your feet really fast and become very vocal. You are babbling away and have started saying “mama”. You love being thrown up into the air and laugh and laugh when tickled.

I can’t believe you and your brother are getting so big. It’s true what they say about the days going slow but the years going fast. I can’t believe that you are almost ONE!! I love watching you change and grow and learn new things, but I am sad that you’re quickly outgrowing being my little baby. At the same time, I can’t wait to see what your future holds. I love you little one.

Love, Mommy
